Our culture, heritage and experiences shape our personalities and characteristics. These elements also mold us emotionally, spiritually, physically, and mentally. I like to capture this ever-evolving energy and vibration of people and places. I use such mediums as painting, drawing, ceramics, ritual, installation, and other mixed media to express this inspiration.
I devote my artwork to reestablishing the visual conversation with our souls. This is something that only the individual can recognize through a nostalgia that is hidden deep within our being. I am constantly inspired by this vibration, whether it is colors, a people, or an object. My senses are constantly being awakened.

Painting
These series of painting are done with acrylic on canvas. I love figure drawing and painting and I incorporate Afro Surrealist style, color and with many many symbols. Every stroke, color and texture has it's own narrative. I infuse the Black Woman body throughout all my art as it transcends through my imagination and realities. |
